OFFICE DESIGN

GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY HEADQUARTERS

PROJECT SCOPE: New construction of a 25,000 square foot headquarters for the GE company optimizes collaboration, ingenuity, and employee wellness through an open floor plan free of office hierarchy. The company's branding is incorporated into a design that emphasizes the highly technical yet humanistic nature of the company.
DESIGN CONCEPT: For more than a century the General Electric Company has been building, powering, moving, and curing - the world. The design of the new headquarters reflects this unique legacy. Ceiling design details incorporate the company's motifs for building (cogwheels), powering (zap), and moving (curved arrow), along with an EKG motif for curing. Industrial and technologic design elements balanced by an ecological sensibility serve to advance the corporate culture of openness, creativity, and integrity.
